A former HMP Wandsworth prison officer who was filmed having sex with an inmate has been jailed for 15 months.
Linda De Sousa Abreu previously pleaded guilty to misconduct in public office following the offence in June last year.
Judge Martin Edmunds KC said Abreu compromised her role as a prison officer – undermined discipline in the prison and put officers at increased risk.
Senior staff at Wandsworth Prison identified Abreu after the video of her having sex with an inmate was shared online and quickly went viral on social media.
