Realme could launch Realme 8, Realme 8 Pro Launch in January 2021

Realme is one of the few brands that keep themselves busy all year round. The company is going to introduce two new smartwatches and a new pair of wireless earbuds on December 23 in India & Realme 8 in January

Realme already has plans for January next year when it has confirmed it will launch the Realme X7 series. Moreover, rumours suggest Realme Narzo 30 series could also debut around the same time next year. A new tip now suggests Realme could also launch the Realme 8 series in January.

According to tipster Mukul Sharma, Realme 8 series, which currently includes the Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro smartphones, is expected to launch in India in January 2021. This is the first time we are hearing about the Realme 8 series. So apart from the launch timeline,

there is nothing else that we know about the Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro smartphones. Of course, they are going to be successors of the Realme 7 series, meaning specification upgrade. But it is not clear how different the Realme 8 series phones could be.

With this rumour, Realme is now pegged to be planning the launch of at least three smartphone series, the Realme X7, Realme Narzo 30, and Realme 8.

Launching three series of smartphones is what I call being busy in a market that is extremely dynamic. Since Realme is planning at least 7 devices under three series, its rivals might as well have smartphones to take on these phones. For what it will be worth, January is going to be full of smartphone options for buyers.

Realme 8 series will take things forward from the Realme 7 series, which currently has some of the best smartphones in the mid-end market. For example, the Realme 7 Pro brings the top-of-the-line 65W fast charging support that tops the battery up in a little over 30 minutes.

This feature is normally found on flagship smartphones, including Realme X50 Pro 5G, Oppo Find X2 Pro, and OnePlus 8T. Although Realme has the 125W fast charging tech waiting for implementation on a phone, it is highly unlikely the Realme 8 series is going to bring that.

Realme 7 series also comes with an AMOLED display although without the 90Hz refresh rate. Maybe Realme 8 series will come with a high refresh rate on the same AMOLED material. The display design of the Realme 8 could also include the punch-hole design,

much like the Realme 7 series. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro are likely to come with 64MP quad cameras on the back, which is what you find on the Realme 7 Pro. But while the camera specifications could be the same, Realme could bring advancements and enhancements on the 8 series.

Talking about the processor, the Realme 7 series has both MediaTek and Qualcomm processors. The Realme 7 is powered by a Helio G90T processor while the Realme 7 Pro runs a Snapdragon 720G chipset. So, it is safe to assume that the Realme 8 series phones will bring better models of these processors. Nothing is clear right now because Realme has not said anything about it. Even the rumour mill has scarce information at this point. We will know more about the Realme 8 series in the coming days.
